February 29

Today was a good day. We started with problem solving we learned "guess and check". Then we had French, we worked on a rap called Oh Brigitte. After lunch we had Theme, we had a presentation about recycling and we worked on our Lake Winnipeg stories. Ms Pattie is reading Masterminds to us. Soon we are going to gym!

February 25

 Today we started off with started with music. In music we complex word work sheet. It had a lot of weird words. After that, we had a buddy period, but we didn't read with them, we helped them with their project. Then we had our morning recess. After that wonderful recess, some of us typed our lake Winnipeg story and some of us edited them. Then we had a health class, in health we had to read some story's we made our self with a word splash. Then it was lunch. After lunch,we had theme, in theme we made a cross word puzzle. Then we went straight to recess. After that, we finished the cross words and did our agenda's. So we hope you had a great day. bye!!!!!

February 24

Today was pink shirt day. We started off the day with math and in math we learned about different lines in geometrey. Then we had gym right after math. After we had recess we had french and we worked on page 4 and 5 of l'historie Brigitte. After lunch we had theme, in theme we started working on making a crossword. After recess we got in our book club groups and now Ms. Pattie is reading Masterminds to us.

February 23

Today was a fantastic day. Today we had math. Then we had gym. In gym we played bench ball. After recess we had double french. In french we did Oh Brigitte. After lunch we had theme. In theme we learned about the Europians and the Aboriginals.After recess we did reading responses and three say somethings. Then we did our agendas. Now Ms Pattie is reading us some Masterminds....

February 22

Today we started trading our stuff. We started the day off with Music. In Music we played Cidade Mirhavilhosa on recorders. We also did a movement to a song. After that we kept on writing our Lake Winnipeg stories. After recess we have our stories written onto our iPads. After lunch we had Theme. That's when we traded our stuff with others. After that we had an assembly for the Primary Choir, and the Dance Troop. They both did really well. After recess we had a Class Meeting. We thanked people, and we talked about what we wanted to change. We are now reading "Masterminds" by Gordan Korman. Hope you had a good day!

February 19

We had a very BUSY day,We started the day with PROBLEM SOLVING.  After recess we had french, we did Un Jour Bizzare. Then after lunch we had theme, some of us finish our project in adobe voice! After recess we had reading we are doing book clubs. Then we are going to gym, in gym we hope we play yoshi scooter, it is very FUN!

February 18

We started the day off with some math. Miss Pattie gave us some math riddles. She gave us clues and we answered the riddle with the clues we had. Then we had writing. In writing we continued (some of us finished) our Lake Winnipeg stories. Some of us shared our stories. Then there was RECESS! Dun, Dun, Dun!! After recess, we had library. The Sturgeon Heights hockey team, The Huskies, read us a book called 'My Granny Loves Hockey'. Then we had music. We learned a little more of 'Cidade Maravilhosa' on our recorders, the Brazil fanfare. Cidade maravilhosa means marvalous city. The song is in Portegeuse. After lunch, we had theme. We worked on our resource posters. Miss Pattie gave some of us an iPad and we were supposed to go on Adobe Voice and make a presentation. Then, after recess, we did our agendas. Now Miss Pattie's reading us 'Masterminds'. Now we have gym.

February 17

We started the day of with music in music we practiced Cidade Maravilhosa on the recorder after that we had BUDDIES. After recess we had writing; in writing we wrote about our trees that we made in ART. Then we had health. After lunch we had theme; in theme we worked on our posters. After recess we got together with our book clubs, then did a response and after that, we moved DESKS . Now we are silent reading.

Tradable produce posters are due tomorrow.  We need them in class so we can do our next step.

All Middle School Registration forms are now due.  Please turn these in as soon as possible.

February 16

Today we had math to start off with. After math class we had gym, in gym we did a full court game of basketball. We had recess and then french. Lunch was very yummy(as usual)! Theme was a full sixty minuets. We had recess and now we are reading a book called master minds, after this we are going to go home early for early dismissal.

February 12

Today was an awesome day.  We had a sub.  First we had math.  We answered questions off of a sheet.  Then we had gym.  We played full-court basketball.  We had the option to do a half-court game but we chose the full-court game.  After recess we had writing.  We continued our Lake Winnipeg stories.  After that it was lunch.  We had indoor recess.  Then we got together with our book clubs.  We did 3 say-somethings.  Then we did our written responses.  After we did agendas.  Ms. Winitski is reading "Masterminds" to us.  After recess we are going to have our mini-Valentines day celebration.

Don't forget to bring in the Middle School Registrations.  They are due on the 16th.

February 11

We made a treaty about recess today. At the first period, we went to music and learned a new song with our recorder and the song was used in a Rio carnival. We also went back to our Olympic fanfare drawings and coloured it. After music we had writing. We talked about our treaty and what we want and what we'll give back. Ms. Pattie did it too. At recess, 4 people stayed in to go in reflex. After recess, we had french. We had our french test. It was scary for some people but one got a cheer squad. After lunch, we had theme. We talked about making posters for our resources like advertising. We have to make our posters flashy and bright. After making a plan, we talked about a treaty for recess. If we have 3 problem free day, we get an indoor recess the day after. After recess we had class meeting. Now Ms. Pattie is reading us Masterminds. Basketball players need to bring their shoes after school and to bring them back from heritage.

February 10

We had a AWESOME day! Today we had math, we had a test to do. For writing we brainstormed about owl moon writing techniques. After recess we had French. After we had Theme, we talked about Treaties and Kinikinik. Then we had reading, Miss. Pattie is reading to us. Then we had GYM!

February 9

We had a great day. We had a substitute teacher in the morning. Her name was Ms. Cleave. To start off the day we had problem solving but some people played reflex for half the time then some other people went to play. After recess we had library then we had music. In music we had a another substitute teacher. We did some drawing with her. After lunch we had theme, in theme Ms. Pattie was talking to us about the Europeans and the Aboriginal people and trading. Now we are reading and about to have gym.

February 8

Hi guys today we did a lot of things today,it was as busy as RUSH HOUR. Today Strathmillan choir is going to preform at 6:40. The first period was MUSIC! we used our recorders, we played chariots of fire. Then we had Buddies, we read to them and they read to us! After recess we had writing and in writing we wrote our Lake Winnipeg stories. After writing, we had health, so what we did is meditate we did a mountain pose and a desk rest. After lunch we did a weather graph and we have to track weather again this week its due on Tuesday, Feb. 16. After recess we did some writing  and a reading response also we got together with our book club groups. Then we did our agendas and now Ms. Pattie is reading us a book. See you tomorrow BYE.

February 4

Today we started off with math and gym. In gym we practiced our basketball skills, and in math, we used an ipad to scan a QR code that showed a math problem for us to do, we wrote our answer on a sticky note and put it up on the board, if it was correct Ms Pattie kept it up on the board, if it was not correct, she took it down. We had recess and after that, French. Lunch was yummy(as usual), we had theme and we painted our trees that we have been working on. Recess, writing then nowwe are reading an i-pick book. February 3

Today we started the day off with music. We did a "test" on our recorders for Chariots of Fire. Then we got together with our book clubs and wrote a say something. After recess, we worked on our stories. After lunch, we had a water presentation by Mary. She was pretty funny. Then we had recess. After that, we had class meeting. Now Miss Pattie is reading us Masterminds by Gordon Korman. It's a really GOOD book so far!! :)

February 2

Before we start our blog post, remember to bring back choir forms and to practice french. Today we started off with problem solving. Some of us got to play reflex at the hall. After recess we had french.  We practiced page one and two on "Un jour bizarre." We also played a game similar to simon says. After Lunch, we had theme. Since we were really loud we had to do a calming activity so we could move on. In theme we had to think about the resources that will be important to our islands: minerals, crops and manufactured goods. We had to think about it so we could trade with other islands. Miss Pattie is now reading "Masterminds." We are going out for early dismissal.

February 1

It was a fantastic day! We started off with Math. We worked on and finishing on our math worksheets. Then we had Mindfulness, we closed our eyes for 30 seconds then wrote down what we heard. Then we did it again, and wrote down what we heard again. We shared with each other what we heard. After that we tried to control our breathing three times. After recess we had library and we picked out three new books.
We had an early lunch and an early recess. After lunch and recess we went to Westwood High School to watch The Lion King Jr. It was fantastic! We came back and did our agendas and Miss Pattie read to us.
